ARROW’s eligibility verification system seeks to solve an immediate problem in New York and other states with similar Medicaid verification issues, so that, even when a client switches insurance companies, the home care agency will always know whom to bill. Currently, the only way for an agency to keep track of who to bill for each client is by making state eligibility requests for each client and waiting for a response. And not every agency has the ability to directly query the State Medicaid website if they are subcontractors to managed care organizations.
With ARROW’s system, we can initiate an inquiry for eligibility for patients via a member identification number, interpret the response that comes back from the payor, and alert the agency when a change occurs so agencies know they are billing based on current information every time.
Our eligibility verification system will be a standalone application, which means that agencies do not need to use ARROW’s full home care management software system in order to get the benefits of knowing that their billing accounts are always up to date.
